Both my mom and my gay BFF at work had the same reaction when they found out how much I've done - "I'm so proud of you!" I guess this is the only time they can enjoy my girly side.
So now, some questions:
- What exactly is wedding insurance and do I need it?
- How do you guesstimate the number of attendees? Isn't it something like a percentage of all invitees?
- Why do all wedding invitations have an inner envelope? This seems really crazy to me.
- Is anyone going to frown on me if I laser print my invitations? Because, when I receive yours, I write the details down and then throw it away.

I've seen plenty of laser printed invitations, especially for save-the-date cards. And I totally agree about getting invitations-- yes they are nice, but you ultimately (or immediately) throw them out!
When are you guys doing big drinks to celebrate the engagement?
@alison - as soon as we get our act together, invite will come along. maybe this weekend... ack!
i keep invitations, because i am not a jerk like you all! ha. or a packrat.
laser printing is fine, ours will be flat-printed, just make sure you have a good quality printer that won't smear the invites. You've probably got great printers at work, no?
No need for inner envelopes, every invite I've gotten except 1 doesn't have them. we're not having them.
as for wedding insurance, buy that damn book already! sheesh. ;P
@words - i bought it already! it came yesterday.
