Dude and I got married on a cold March Saturday in New York City. This blog chronicles the time of our engagement, through my complaints and frustrations with socially accepted wedding traditions, through navigating complexities when marrying into a different culture, through our awesome Manhattan 115-guest wedding that people said couldn't be done and didn't send us into debt, and now onto the aftermath.
I say what I mean and I mean what I say. I nitpick everything and do not accept LOL and LMAO and ROFL as valid forms of communication. Language is what distinguishes us as humans, let's not let it degenerate.

it's pretty, but it does seem a little spare compared to the dress. Maybe if you filled in the petals with something like small white feathers? What did you make it out of? I'm always partial to medium size silk flowers in the hair, myself... that's what I'll be doing w/ the veil.
i was going for more spare because the dress is so elaborate, and i'm planning to wear a long-ish veil. it is just some jewelry wire and small pink beads. i think maybe it's that the petals are too big? maybe it needs leaves? or with your suggestion of small white feathers...
well, i know what you mean about not wanting to be over the top, but yeah, some tweaking would be good. Your idea of making the petals smaller is a good one. I'm not a big fan of leaves, like, ever (not having them in the bouquets) but whatever works for you! I can show you how we used feathers in my hairpiece/veil.
